WR Terrelle Pryor ('10 Rose, '11 Sugar MVP)

And like Christmas the more you get your hopes up the more likely you are to be disappointed.

I believe that if Pryor were signing an LOI tonight it would be to OSU. But too many times I have received ties in those boxes that looked for all the world like they held a BB gun. (don't ask me why anyone would waste all that paper)

In any case, it is sure to be a wonderful Christmas - with or without any specific package.
I think it's more like waiting for Christmas when you already know what you're getting because your older brother told you months ago.

I was just reading on another site that Pryor is almost surely going to WVU, because the coach told him that he could play b-ball as well. Is this just hearsay or has anyone else heard this??? The last I checked couldn't he play b-ball at tOSU, and on a better squad?

Let me guess the WVU board?

Could I get an article summary? Scout is the only one I cant read.

Working on it...for those that are not contributors here rest assured we will get to the updates as quickly as possible and get a proper summary posted. It is not necessary to post a link with no summary or post a link and ask for a summary.

And with that...

Scout $

10/24

From the OSU site...Terrelle is enjoying the recruiting process and insists OSU, West Virginia, Florida, Texas, Tennessee and Penn State are all still even and will focus on his team's playoff run before making any more cuts. He talks about what he will be looking for on his visit for the Wisconsin game.

According to Mike Farrell on Rivals Radio this AM...Ohio State is far and away the "default team to beat" in the Pryor sweepstakes.

And you know for sure that he gave JT a "silent verbal"?

Anyways, before this gets too far off on a tangent, my point is that if Pryor does in fact give us a public commitment, we can pretty much take it to the bank and not be worry-warts up until NLOID about his possibly decommitting...

To beat this dead horse some more - I dont know for "sure" Jarrett committed as I was not there when it happened, but I did get independent confirmation of this from two sources whos opinion I value greatly. IMO, there is greater than 99% chance that Jarrett did indeed at one point commit to OSU.

If we don't get Pryor, we still have a great recruiting class coming in, and we still have plenty of talent as usual. If we do get him, it's an awesome bonus.

While I appreciate everyone's attempts to inoculate against a potential disappointment, I really can only agree partially with this thought. Pryor isn't a bonus, he's the keystone to a phenomenal class. Yes, the class will be great regardless, but the addition of a top-shelf QB will make it as close to perfect as we're ever going to see. It goes from a Category 4 storm to a 5+ tOSU-goes-all-Katrina-on-the-B11 storm.

This is a big deal. Let's all be honest and say that it's a big deal. I am willing to risk being greatly disappointed if it means getting to enjoy the anticipation of the whole process. I'd hate to ruin it with Cassandra-like handwringing about a sky that might fall. Let's dance on the edge...let's dream great dreams...let's mix our metaphors with reckless abandon...Pryor is coming to Columbus and there's nothing that Rich Rodriguez can do to stop it. :oh:
