WR Santonio Holmes (Super Bowl XLIII MVP)

I think his incredible routes and solid blocking will help his stock a lot... and it is a very thin draft class. AJ hawk has been getting hype since he got PT as a frosh (I think he scored a TD that year on an INT).

Carp could go higher, but neither one will slip past 15th IMO.

Nope. First off, A.J. will go top 5, anything above that will be an absolute steal for whoever gets him. And second, Holmes, at 5'11, doesn't have the size to be a dominating force in the NFL, or even a #1 or #2 receiver in most systems. Of course you can compare him to a Steve Smith or a Joey Galloway, who are both under 6'0 and have had breakout seasons , but neither of can take over a game like a Randy Moss or a T.O. can.
But hey, if the Vikings can draft Troy Williamson over Mike Williams, I guess anything can happen.

Holmes is a natural for nfl success where many qbs can place the ball in his vicinity at precisely the time he gains initial separation...he's the best around in college ball at that route running talent. At times it's outrageous to see Holmes' separation come...and then go.

there are a ton of star WRs at around 6'... Galloway, Glenn, Holt, Harrison, Wayne, etc.

he doesn't have to be TO in this draft. there is very little competition for him among elite WRs. He might actually be foolish to stay b/c there might be more competition next year.

I'm not saying he can't or won't be a stud in the NFL, I just don't think he's the type of WR that teams with top 10 picks look for. Unless it's a team like St. Louis or Indy or Philadelphia who can plug basically anyone into their systems and still have a consistent and explosive passing game.

His speed, route running, hands, and returning ability will more than make up for his lack of size.

Forget about Santonio's size. I know he's dropped more passes the past 2 years than he ever will again. Remember the catch he had against Purdue his RS Frosh year? That sick catch up the left sideline in the 4th quarter, completely facing away from Krenzel? When he's playing football round the clock he'll never drop a pass again. I see him getting picked up by the Seahawks, Bears, or the Redskins for some reason. Maybe the Chargers or Broncos. I think he'll fall there in the draft, or maybe even to Pittsburgh (cough).

Who needs a linebacker early? The Browns. (PLEASE!)
