WR/RB Lamaar "Flash" Thomas (transfer to New Mexico)

When other players are picking you out of a crowd and giving you props, you must be doing some good stuff. Flash sounds like a very exciting, explosive, versatile athlete. I can't wait to see him in this game and in S&G.

from a free rivals article re: the all-american game practices

"Lamaar has been the surprise of all the backs," Jeffries said. "He's making the right reads. He's making good decisions and there aren't any questions about his speed. He can flat out fly. He's reading his cuts real well."

He's going to start the game as second string.

I would guess he'll be the go to guy on screens and whatnot.

I'm also curious as to whether or not he'll be returning kicks.

I also saw in one of the videos or articles that they were thinking about playing him a bit out at WR. Right now Cissoko and Posey are KR's but I don't know why Flash wouldn't get a shot. In any event, Flash is going to get plenty of work Saturday and will have a good shot at making some lasting impressions. I think game situations are where player liks Flash will shine because many of these drills get cut short and don't give him a shot at showing his elite speed.

This is the first time I had a good chance to look at him and I was very impressed. His track speed translates onto the football field. He is really underrated by scout.

Agreed - after Pryor Thomas was the most striking skill player on the East squad. Out McGuffied (by a very long way) the electric play that Sam was meant to bring to the field.

Is he a RB or WR? I've heard OSU figures to have him playing at one of the reciever spots.
He sure looked like he would be a solid tailback as well.

This fella was very impressive... his first two steps aren't blazing... but something happens immediately after that... that looks like hyperdrive on Star Wars... He has a warp drive gear
