There is no way to read into this, but from the Baltimore Sun:

Switching to prospects with legitimate Maryland interest, Virginia Beach running back Kevin Whaley has frequently mentioned the Terps, Virginia and Virginia Tech when asked about his recruitment.

According to The Virginian-Pilot, Whaley had hoped to visit UM last weekend, but ...

Salem running back Kevin Whaley will reschedule his official visit to Maryland, possibly after the regular season. Whaley originally planned to visit College Park during Salem's bye last week, but the Terrapins asked him to postpone.

This is completely speculative, but I?m guessing Maryland wants to know where it stands with Fort Washington Friendly?s Lamaar Thomas before going all-out for another running back, which would explain Whaley?s visit rescheduling.

To me, if Lamaar is the cause of pushing back the Whaley visit, UMD must have at least some hope for to hear their name when LT announces.

I think it is pure speculation on the part of the writer...

That's enough to push my optimism over the top. Works for me. This wide receiver class is shaping up as well as hoped.
