WR Ray Small (official thread)

At regionals yesterday, Ray ran 10.87 (100m, 2nd overall) and 21.57 (200m, 2nd overall) in prelims. He also advanced to finals on the 4x100 and 4x400 relays (1st in both). Finals should be tomorrow night to determine state bids.

How does Ray compare with Teddy?? I heard he may not be as fast going straight forward but his ability to change direction is better than Ginns? with him running 10.5's in the 100 and being able to stop faster than Ginn I'd like to think we try and incorporate him somehow??

Ginn Sr. has referred to Small as "the most explosive player I've ever coached".

That should sum it up nicely.

I know Ray didn't reach the finals in the 100 or 200 (nagging groin injury didn't help) but does anyone know if he was replaced on the relays in the stgate finals?

I didn't see his name listed as being part of the sprint relays who finished first in state in 4x100, 4x200 or 4x400?
