Campbell had also received an offer from Butch Jones' Tennessee coaching staff (a recent "rival" of the Buckeyes' staff on the trail as it were), but while visiting Columbus this weekend made things official for the Buckeyes.

Campbell, a 5-11 170 pound running back from the Akron area, isn't a particularly known product on the recruiting/scouting circuit. He's presently not rated by 247Sports, Rivals, nor Scout. He also had outstanding offers from Indiana and former Ohio State defensive corodinator Mark Dantonio and the Michigan State Spartans.
