WR Michael Floyd (Arizona Cardinals)

Might turn out to be a very good move for Floyd. Haven't really heard his name lately with the top WRs in the upcoming draft, but from what I've seen... he's just as good as any of them. Might get the hype and draft status next year.

Injuries plagued him his first two years, he was at least healthy and played in almost every game this year. Still, against Miami he surpassed Samardzija's career TD's already, so he has a chance to add to that next year and possibly play for a better bowl.

My cousin is also a Junior on campus. They were good friends the first few years and he told her then he would stay till he graduates, but things can definitely change once you start thinking about big money. I'm glad he's finishing out, we certainly don't have any other receivers with his big play ability at this time.

Michael Floyd sentenced to probation
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Suspended Notre Dame wide receiver Michael Floyd pleaded guilty Wednesday to misdemeanor drunken driving and was sentenced to a year of probation.
St. Joseph County Magistrate Brian Steinke gave Floyd a one-year jail sentence that was suspended as part of a plea agreement. He also said Floyd cannot drive for 90 days and once when he does, he must have an ignition device installed on his vehicle for six months that won't allow it to start if his blood-alcohol level is too high.
The 21-year-old Floyd was fined $200 and ordered to attend a victim impact panel to hear from people whose family members were killed in drunken driving accidents.
Kelly said Floyd still had steps he must take to be reinstated to the team, but didn't specify what those steps were.
Brian Hardin, Notre Dame's director of football media relations, said Kelly would have no comment on Floyd's plea agreement and Stanley said he doesn't know Floyd's status with the team.
"That's Coach Kelly's decision," he said.

Of course he has steps to take- he has to wait however many days for fall practice to start and however many more days for the season to start just like everyone else on the team.

When I saw what you quoted I was sure you were going to say that because he has to walk to practice. That's just were my mind was at the time.

What a fall this program has taken in my mind. A dead GA that was swept under the rug and somehow wasnt even important enough for the media to really cover it and now a player that on 99% of the teams in college football that would have been removed. Go Bucks

Somehow the concept of Brian Kelly sitting in moral judgment of a 21-year-old just doesn't compute with me.

Thanks for writing down my exact thoughts....post of the year. Hey graduate assistant Johnny.....go up there and film this practice.....what 50mph winds.....awwww....you will be ok.....and this is the guy deciding the outcome of my football players who continue to get into trouble.......its kinda sad when you think about it. Go Bucks

Reinstated by Brian Kelly. "Suspension" over. No games missed. Two times the legal limit; second alcohol offense at ND. But at least (as far as we know) he didn't get any free tattoos.

So I will say this for Tressel. He suspended guys for failed drug tests. He sat his starting quarterback for the final two games of the season (including Michigan) and the first half of a bowl game for a DUI. He didn't sit guys for getting free tattoos.

Just maybe (and I'm guessing here) he had a little more perspective than the media, coaches, universities and the NCAA.

I really didnt expect anything else from Kelly other than to win at all cost. The college game has turned into a win at all cost business.....but I honestly believe there are a lot of coaches that would not have reinstated him. I dont think Tressel would have considering these circumstances I would put Kelly in with Spurrier.....for reinstating his qb after about 6 horrible bouts of bad decisions. Its really sad honestly. If I were ND I would hang my head in shame and I can honestly say that as bad as the media hit us we never broke any laws. Player not be allowed selling their own stuff and kids getting DUI`s are just different.....but you probably wont see a word about this on espin......Go Bucks
