WR Michael Floyd (Arizona Cardinals)

ND is still pushing hard for him, although I hear he still favors tOSU.

Depends on who you ask...

One thing for sure is that ND has very little breathing room here... tOSU has come on very strong over the last month and a half... If Floyd leaves ND without a commit and then visits for the Wisconsin game (as is tentatively planned), we'll be in great shape...

So I was thinking about that last night. Imagine in 2010, when we put a 3 wide, 1 rb set on the field that looks like this:

QB: Henton
RB: Pryor
WR: Thomas
WR: Stoney
WR: Posey
TE: DiLillo

and then the O-line. Then if we were to run like an 8 or 9 play no-huddle package. Think of how many things we could do out of that formation. We could stick Henton and Pryor in the Pistol formation and run options and option-passes and option-reverses to Thomas all day. We could throw all day to any of like 4 targets. We could stick Lamar in the backfield and run sweeps and RB screens. We could stick Pryor under center and move Stoney back to fullback to let Henton carry if we need a tough yard. I dont know why, but for some reason the thought of that package really got me excited.

Let's not get too far ahead of ourselves here.....

Just like the '02 offense

Don't be silly, watching Duval Kamara, last year's hot shot WR recruit, catch 2 balls for 4 yards will SURELY lock things up for the Irish.

Which is 8 yards more than Purdue's hotshot Dorian Bryant got on his 2 catches against us...

No, what will truly lock things up, is the "schematic advantage" employed to net those 2 catches for 4 yards.

Rivals $

10/17

Film.

My take: Kids this big aren't supposed to this fast. Add the fact that he is NFL-caliber hands and you see why he is a 5-star talent. His hands are what impress me the most...these clips highlight his ability to go downfield and also to work the sidelines and the corners of the endzones. If can get a finger on it he comes down with it. This kid is a stud and I would really love to see us land him. His ability to work in traffic is also extremely impressive for a kid his size. I like where we sit with the turmoil at ND and the falling out with Carufel.
