WR Jeremiah Smith (All B1G, B1G Frosh/WR of Year, All-American)

OSU could land 1-2 more on that list realistically

Very realistic. If I had it my way, we add Traderv and Graham, and that's yet another amazing WR class.

Is this the greatest run on WR talent in college football history? Not even joking

Probably. I would have to dig up the stats, but it's seriously ridiculous what we've been doing at WR in recent years.

And so, there needs to be some added clauses to Brian Hartline's contracts so that he never leaves this place unless he wants to retire and go fishing. Never let him go to another school.

Great idea BB. Do OC/DC/Asst coaches have buy-outs written in their contracts? Know that mostly they're 'at will' employees, and at the mercy of the HC. Also, if he goes, normally so do they, as the new guy wants 'his' people on the field with him. But yeah, now that Hartline has the title, let's add some strings to bind him more firmly to tOSU. It'll make him feel more wanted here.....

At the end of the day, coaches have the ability to get out of their contracts it seems if the right opportunity comes up. You can incentivize a coach staying in their contract for sure, but can't force them to stay. That said, I don't think Hartline really wants to go anywhere else any time soon. He is getting paid well and got a nice promotion, plus he is a diehard Buckeye and loves where he is at. Not saying 2-3 years down the road he wouldn't seriously entertain the right HC job if he doesn't get the chance here at OSU, but I do think we have him for the next 1-2 years without much worry.

In the meantime, lets lock down Trader and Graham to go with Smith, and get our popcorn ready for that position battle moving forward. Kind of crazy that we haven't even seen the stellar '22 WR class of Burton, Grayes, Brown and Antwi yet because of our depth...then you have two 5*guys in Innis and Tate coming in, plus Noah Rogers and Bryce Rodgers coming in for the '23 class...then Smith and whatever else we land in '24. The WR position battle is going to be really fun to watch.
