WR Jeremiah Smith (All B1G, B1G Frosh/WR of Year, All-American)

That's the Michael Thomas against VA Tech move right there.

Lorenzo is play off-coverage and still gets cooked by Smith. And it comes after an equally impressive slant route that JJ housed over the middle on Simpson-Hunt.

Jim Knowles called him the “best player on the field.”

Sounds like Joel Klatts story. He was QB and his WR was covered in the end zone by the safety. He was so proud he asked the coach “what did you think” expecting to be commended. Coach said your best WR is matched w a safety. If the safety was any good he’d be a corner. Throw him the ball.

You can tell he's been in the weight room. My and a buddy were sitting in the end zone on the offense side, amd when JS lined up, he legit looked like the largest WR on the team, and besides the baby face, we would've thought he was in the NFL based on body size alone. It's going to be interesting to watch him go against other team's CBs who don't have Burke, DI, Hancock and Matthews, because very few can out- physical him like DI was able to do at times. But when Scott Jr(a fellow former 5star frosh) he dwarfed him

Cross between MHJr and Cris Carter
The No. 1 overall prospect in the 2024 class, Smith drew praise from Ryan Day, Chip Kelly, Brian Hartline, Urban Meyer and more on the FOX broadcast. Former Notre Dame and NFL quarterback Brady Quinn also delivered a massive comparison for Smith, likening the freshman phenom to NBA superstar LeBron James.

“I don’t want this to sound like an overstatement talking about Jeremiah Smith, but I live in the South Florida area, and I had a chance to watch him play at Chaminade Madonna. It really reminded me of another guy coming out of high school: LeBron James,” Quinn said. “That’s how dominant he was. That’s how many years ahead of most young men (he is) at this age. I know what comes from that statement. But I know this young man’s gonna tear up college football.”

Just sayin': Cross between MHJr, Cris Carter, and Lebron James.
