WR Jeremiah Smith (All B1G, B1G Frosh/WR of Year, All-American)

As long as Hartline is employed by tOSU, Jeremiah Smith will be a Buckeye, IMO
And how can you expect Smith to not take visits when he gets paid for everyone one of them?! I'd be taking visits too

But he's also not dumb and sees who's producing the best WR talent in the NFL. Sports highlights are littered with Wilson, Olave, JSN, Thomas and even Noah Brown!

I need someone to translate for me
He's saying that the offenses for FSU and Miami are average(aka mid-off). And for him to come home to Ohio State

VERBAL COMMIT
12/14/2022
OHIO STATE
6'3" | 210 LBS | WR | 2024
CHAMINADE MADONNA
HOLLYWOOD, FL
6.1

The five-star receiver is saying all the right things about Florida State especially after another strong visit with the Seminoles over the weekend and his last visit could be to Tallahassee but sources still believe something “mega” would have to happen with Ohio State’s coaching staff for him to flip away from the Buckeyes. The Noles are making this interesting but Ohio State still looks very good.

SoFL players are always a roller coaster. But I know one thing for certain, OSU will have the 1st WR taken in next year's draft. No matter what money Smith makes on his visits or through NIL, it won't be nearly as much as being a top 5-10 pick in the draft. Not to mention him having comparable NIL deals in Columbus. I can't think of the last WR from Free Shoes to make an impact in the NFL. I'm in no way concerned... Just like I wasn't about Aaron Scott. Kids drum up exposure by playing games on social media. But he's stated Brian Hartline is the common denominator to signing with OSU. It also helps having top flight QB play
If I'm wrong, I'm wrong, but I still feel confident about landing him

Smith has a strong case as the best wide receiver in the class and an argument can be made for him being the best player in the nation. The only downside is the slim chance of a receiver being drafted top overall with the last pass catcher to be drafted first being Keyshawn Johnson in 1996. This is where Nwaneri's position value comes into play and why an argument can be made for him being the No. 1 in 2024. Since 2014 only three non-quarterbacks have been drafted first and all three times they were defensive ends, so going with that logic I would likely have Nwaneri No. 1 if the group decides not to go with a quarterback.

from 11W Forums

Don't shoot the messenger but Jeremiah Smith didn't just take OSU out of his bio, but he also deleted all of his "buckeye lock" tweets. He also re-posted a tweet saying "got family to feed", so I'm not sure if FSU dropped a bag he absolutely could not deny.
Pretty clear that Florida State presented Jeremiah Smith with their final offer this weekend. And it was massive. It certainly was not FSU needing the refs to beat a mediocre Miami team starting a true freshman QB that impressed him.

It's been well reported that FSU has been direct depositing JJ every week to stay in his recruitment and keep him coming on visits.

Our staff and collectives should have seen this coming and hopefully are ready to fight for his commitment.

Five weeks until signing day - have to weather the storm. If there's anybody who can close this out, it's Brian Hartline.

Another thing to consider, next season the P5 becomes the P2, with the ACC not being one of them.

I’d think if he wants to show nfl scouts that he can play at the next level, either a B1G or SEC schedule would show off what he’s really capable of, and also prepare him for the next level better than a terrible ACC.
