I told the LSU fan sitting next to me Jalin is a terror every time he goes back to field a punt. Sometimes he terrorizes the opponent, sometimes he terrorizes us. But he did field 2 on a hop that would probably have rolled inside the 5. I really think he'll be special before he leaves Columbus.

He also had one that he didn't field at the 30 that rolled to the 5 and also called for a fair catch at the 5. He didn't have a great game at PR, but there's always next game. Also wouldn't be stunned if Dontre is returning punts.

But that's just him as a return guy. Has a good future at WR, and if he can clean up the mental mistakes at PR he can be special there too.

Agree. That's why I said sometimes he terrorizes the opponents, sometimes he terrorizes us.

He makes me nervous EVERY TIME he is back there. I was actually glad when no one was back there during that one punt. He is trying too hard to make a special play.

I hope this does not happen, but I have a bad feeling that he will cost us a game like Philly Brown did.

No way do you replace him at this point with someone else. He's just so darn confident that he's going to make something happen that he can't help but go for it every time. He'll get better with maturity. What I wanted to happen in that last game was put a second guy back, ala Holmes w Ginn, and catch that gunner, maybe Evan Spencer with his great hands and blocking ability. If he could have gotten a little space past the first guy there was a ton of room to run because they were kicking it so far. He's going to break another one, and it could very well be this game and be a tremendous momentum changer that wins a National Championship.
