WR Jalin Marshall (Edmonton Elks)

No disrespect, but this is why he's being recruited as an "athlete" instead of a quarterback.

Agreed! Whenever I look at his stats now, I just pay attention to his rushing yards and envision what he'll do for us when he has the ball in his hands, either from a handoff or catching

Well, with the Buckeyes playing late today I had a burr in my backside to go out and watch Jalen play in his final HS game for Middletown last night. It was freaking cold and the rain sucked just to preface things. Jalen, on the other hand.......

Firstly, Princeton of 2012 is nothing like the Vikings I remember from High School 20 years ago. Middletown has way more talent. The Middie defense, although, is not good and thats pretty much the sole reason they ended up 4-6 on the season.

Last night I saw a guy on the field do anything he wanted to against the weather, the Princeton defense and everything else that tried to stop him. Holy cow. Speed. Goodness, there's a ton on that young man. He also had a pretty good night passing with a couple of touchdowns. The real turning point though was Jalen busting up the middle from about the 25 yard line, juked and jived and absolutely embarassed every other person wearing pads down the field to the endzone. He is super fast. Only Ted Ginn looked faster in pads when I saw them in person.

Its a shame that his high school career ended the way it did this season but he's a member of the Buckeye family now and we are very lucky to have him!!!!! :osu:

I don't know if it will be available but #7 will fit him perfectly.

Dirty. It's hard for me to believe he WON'T see a good amount of PT in this offense.

His burst is unreal, and when he gets ahead of the defenders he often beats them to the endzone by 10 yards or more. In addition, there are several plays where he just had one defender to beat for another TD. Yeah, he'll be a pretty special player.

I really think that barring injuries, our 2013 offense has the potential to be one of the top offenses in the country. With Jalin and J. Hall, Hyde and Rod Smith, Philly and Devin Smith, and of coarse, XBrax360, watch out.

I agree with all the superlatives everyone is bestowing on young jalin. But I'm surprised no one has mentioned that he's also doing all these moves and flashing this speed at 220lbs!!!

He does look alot bigger compared to his sophmore year. Has some nasty stiff arms in those highlights and ran over defenders.

Very explosive athlete, very fun to watch. Cant wait to see him and Braxton on the field together.

Dude doesn't even need to worry about learning how to pass when he comes here, just has to go out and do his thing. A lot of people are saying slot receiver, but just got a gut feeling that Jalin's going to have twice as many yards rushing as receiving. Perfectly built for Urban's offense.

Any clue if he can enroll early? Would love to have him get the playbook down. Early reps would absolutely help. Same with the other O skill positions.

Nope. Just found out this weekend he is going to finish his senior year. He wants to play basketball, run track and he's in a chorus of some kind coming up also. He wants to just be a kid a little longer. Nothing wrong with that. Football in college becomes a lot more like a job than in high school and he likes what he's doing.

He'll still be ready to go next fall.
