The Schwartz family sounds like a classy bunch, but I can't deny that it would be a thing of beauty for him to stick it to petey. I would think he can see the writing on the wall tho.

Anyone hear about his shoulder?

If this kid becomes a Buckeye don't be shocked if he ends up playing QB, he throws a very accurate ball, however couldn't tell about his arm strength. If he verbals and his shoulder heals soon I'll pony up for another one of his games.

I'll let Brian give more details if he wishes, but there is a chance Grant could play friday.

Grant will play Friday as long as he can stand the pain. No QB though at least not to throw:wink2: . He's hoping to do his best Reggie Bush imitation:biggrin:but that will up to his coaches . He'd love to play defense also but man that's gonna hurt. :tongue2:

Buckeye legacy gets coveted offer

Ohio State has always been the favorite for California safety Grant Schwartz considering his father, Brian Schwartz, is a former Buckeye. While he picked up other offers from Oregon, Boise State, and Colorado State, it was obvious that he was holding everything for OSU.

After being told by the Buckeyes coaching staff that one was on his way weeks ago, the scholarship finally made its way to the Schwartz household. It always seemed a verbal would follow immediately after an offer.

Things have changed.

Oregon's heightened attention has caused a delay. Schwartz stated that he was impressed when head coach Jim Tressel told him to take his time and that the Buckeyes still are the leader.

OSU may have to wait a little longer than expected for this West Coast defender.
