Catch Nets Spencer Play of the Year Nomination

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Freshman wide receiver Evan  Spencer's spectacular one-handed catch against Akron on Sept. 3 has been  nominated for the 2011 Geico Play of the Year, sports marketing firm  Intersport announced Monday.
 Spencer's 33-yard grab is up against three other plays from the first  weekend of action: an interception from Iowa's Shaun Prater, a kickoff  return from West Virginia's Tavon Austin and a touchdown run from  Oklahoma's Dominique Whaley.
 
Each week for nine weeks fans will vote on four incredible college  football plays that have been nominated as the Play of the Year.
