WR Duron Carter (Official Thread)

wow. Duron Carter with a huge 2nd game of the year.

6catches 117yards 5TD! TD catches of 52, 12, 17, 21, & 9.

The often, in amongst 10 touchdowns on the evening for the Ravens, included five touchdown receptions from Carter, breaking the school record of four held since 1968 by Don Brennan. Brennan?s record was set against Arkansas City Junior College, now Cowley College.

Carter caught six passes overall for 117 total receiving yards. Three of Carter?s touchdown passes were thrown by Cochran. The other two were courtesy of back-up quarterback Corbin Goedert.

wasn't the deal from tressel to not just get his grades but take care of other off the field stuff too? if that's the case it seems like tressel gave him a pretty steep hill to climb. he's probably just keeping his options open in case tressel decides that he's still not ready to put on the scarlet and gray again. also, it puts the pressure on tressel to accept him back rather than lose him to someone else. it's really smart on multiple levels if you ask me.

I think this has more to do with wanting to see some free games and other programs.

IMO, it sounds like the kid needs to be in a FBS (D1a) school. For a kid of Duron's talent to step down into a lower division - idealy - he SHOULD be able to shine, as well as be the go-to-guy for the QB and team.

As far as him shopping his services to other schools - let him. I would rather him come back to OSU fully committed than be here regretting not looking at other schools and second guessing his choice to return to OSU.

When in the heck is he still in the game with 2 min left in the game when the team is up 66-7 (Let alone catching a TD pass at that point)?!?!

Again, its Coffeyville. They have a highly recruited FBS kid that also carries an extremely strong football legacy namesake. They were likely trying to make ntional headlines, get some love on ESPN and other networks. It may impress their recruits and give some love to Carter to maybe stay an extra year by giving him some pub.

JC ball is a different animal - big numbers, little stage.
