hmmm, all the way in Kansas eh? I hope that he is doing what he needs to do and we can see him back for the 2011 season.

Anyone know why he's chosen this specific community college? Is it a place a lot of CFB players go to get grades up? Does he have family nearby? Is there any sort of OSU connection there?

Duron Carter at junior college (Blogging the Buckeyes)

Receiver Duron Carter will not play for Ohio State this fall. He has enrolled at Coffeyville (Kan.) Community College, Coffeyville coach Darian Dulin said this morning. Dulin said Carter was scheduled to take part in summer workouts at Coffeyville, and must stay at the school for at least a semester before possibly heading back to OSU. That means the earliest Carter could be back is January.
Dulin said one of his assistant coaches knew Carter's father, Cris, and "recruited" him to Coffeyville. The selling point was a smaller class size (Coffeyville has about 1,300 students) and smaller town so Duron could work on improving his grades.

Coffeyville is one of the traditional JUCO football powers. Notable alumni include Ron Springs (Ohio State), Reggie Nelson (Florida), Mike Rozier (Nebraska), Brandon Jacobs (Southern Illinois), Ryan Lilja (Kansas State), Devin Thomas (Michigan State), Siran Stacy (Alabama).

Thats about 2 hours from me I looked at there schedule and they played Bulter at home last year so they may play them up here in Wichita this year and if thats the case I will have to go to the game and give him some Buckeye support!
