Even with Kiper saying he could be a first round pick I just do not see the overall skill set to be a receiver worth a first round pick; of course it could all change after the combine. If I am a team that is in need of a deep threat then see if he is still there mid to late second round then possibly trade for the pick if need be.

Derrius Heyward-Bey went top-10 with a similar skill set. If he puts up an eye-popping 40 time, I'd be surprised if he doesn't go in the first round.

They have made some stupid draft decisions regarding receivers. I just maintain that unless you have a Calvin Johnson or Dez Bryant type receiver it is worth waiting until the end of the first round or the second round to try and pick up a WR. So many go bust that it is not worth the risk in my mind, not saying Smith will be a bust but i just think that is the safest strategy.
