I think it's that very few athletes actually play at their 40 speed. Once they get on the field and have corners to get around, running their route and looking back for the ball they loose some speed. Devin is one of the few guys out there that can consistently play very close to his 40 speed.4.42 is plenty fast and Devin is the kind of player who plays a little faster than his times too.
Both Waller of Georgia Tech and Green-Beckham of Missouri are taller, heavier and almost 1/4 second faster...both of them would be much better TE prospects. And most NFL safeties are faster than a 4.7 40...I hate funchess and *ichigan, but the dude is 30 lbs heavier than most of those other WR's. I would expect him to be a lot slower....and he could line up at TE and still be a match up nightmare for safeties and LB's in the NFL.
