WR/DB Eric Glover-Williams (transfer to Mississippi Gulf Coast CC, transfer to Slippery Rock)

I take a wait and see approach with any and all hype. Remember, Dontre Wilson was going to be a superstar in this system. I actually remember some articles going into the 2013 season that had him as a sleeper Heisman candidate that year. Wowing people in HS and practice is one thing. Doing it on game day is totally different. Barn Childress.

Ouch, don't drop The Bam on him just yet.

Dontre's issue was more health than talent. Sometimes the practice hype is justified, as in Curtis Samuel's case

You watch your mouth young man.

Here's a bar of soap. I don't want to hear a peep from you for 30 minutes.

Ohio State football: Eric Glover-Williams no longer with team

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio State football team is talented and deep at wide receiver, but they will be without one of those offensive weapons going forward. An Ohio State spokesman confirmed to Land of 10 on Saturday that H-back Eric Glover-Williams is no longer with the team.

Glover-Williams wasn’t listed on the first depth chart of the season and did not travel with the team for its season opener against Indiana on Thursday. Following the 2016 season, he had moved from defensive back to offense in an attempt to give him an easier path to the field that also fit his skill set. However, the Buckeyes were still crowded at H-back with Parris Campbell, K.J. Hill and Demario McCall all in the mix for snaps at that spot.

His switch to offense came after players raved during bowl practice about his success in practice mimicking the running ability of Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson.

“He’s capable of playing on defense or offense,” safety Malik Hooker said prior to the Fiesta Bowl. “For him to give us that look throughout the week, it’s something a lot of guys wouldn’t do. Nobody wants to be a scout team player. But he’s a guy who wants to make the team better whatever way he can. We definitely appreciate him. Nobody wants to do it, but it’s what the team needs to win.

Cont'd ...

Sad to hear, but I'm sure he'll end up at another D1 school on scholarship. The writing has been on the wall that he may leave for a while, IMO. He could never get solid PT or a true position. And even moving sides put him in a bigger log jam. And he's obviously been recruited over. Best of luck EGW(I quietly hope he ends up at UC with Fickell)
