Great Dane has Signed

Welcome Dane, I know he is going to be a great asset whether it be on offense or defense. He was just on the local news and was smiling from ear to ear. He was asked if he would play offense or defense. tOSU recruited him as WR and there has been no mention of defense. Yet. Good job Dane

Recuiting News

I just left Bucknuts and this is a much more civilized and classy forum. There's a load of 5 star "experts" trashing Dane and other '07 recruits who have no clue what they are talking about. Anyone who has seen Dane play know what an athlete he is and his skill level and big play ability out-weighs some of the measurables that the "experts" seem so hung-up on. Kick me in the ass if I go back there.

vGuido meet my Uncle Rocco from the greater Cleveland area. You guys won't break my "pointing device" if I drift over to BN occassionally to check out the Dane's threads will you? I promised I won't do that again but...

I am very happy to see Dane as a Buckeye, he's going to kick some butt.

I didn't read this article so I shouldn't really comment yet, but I have been waiting for someone to come along and make a statement about Dane's goals for next year. For what it's worth here is my insight, projection, vision, or outlook for Dane (speaking from my sometimes biased point of view). I have watched him grow as an athlete and as a young man entering a world of spotlights and scrutiny. For an 18 year, Dane has shown increasingly good poise in front of the media answering questions and presenting himself and his goals. He is, after all, the pride of Toledo Central Catholic, pride of Lee and Marianne, football prodigy from TCC and a really nice young man. OK, you ask how can this translate into anything meaningful regarding Dane's football ability? His accomplishments have already done that! Dane will takes this opportunity and knock it out of the park (to use a baseball cliche). He will work hard to make the best of this opportunity and he will be the best that he can be. He will make an "impact" as he has for two years at TCC. He will make us proud and he will continue to be the pride of Lee and Marianne, Toledo Central Catholic, and his loyal fans. He will show the doubters what he is made of and convince them that Gonzo may be gone but the "Daner" has arrived with his own special style. All the time while we sit at our laptops comfortably typing these posts, he will be running, lifting, studying, and practicing for his debut at tOSU next year. Regardless of where he ends up this year at tOSU, Dane will unassumingly continue to strive to be the best and he won't disappoint. You see "he just gets it". Talent and hard work usually equate to a positive outcome. Now that he has opportunity, watch out!

I don't need to read the article in Bucknuts, I already know what it says.
