4. Dane Sanzenbacher knows the challenge ahead of him as it appears very likely the undrafted free agent from Ohio State will stick on the 53-man roster as a sixth wide receiver.
"It's going to be a fight to get in," he said. "And a fight to stay in."

Sanzenbacher's words are good for any undrafted free agent or late-round draft pick to remember. Just because you?ve made it doesn?t mean you're secure. The bottom of NFL rosters are constantly churning and the 51st, 52nd and 53rd players on the roster can be sent packing Monday if a team finds some players on waivers more appealing. It happens all the time. A sixth wide receiver is a luxury. If a rash of injuries hit one position, teams will get help and that help is going to cost someone a job.

But right now, it looks like wide receiver Dane Sanzenbacher, H-baaack/tight end Kyle Adams, defensive end Mario Addison, linebacker Dom DeCicco and safety Winston Venable will stick for at least the time being. If Thomas isn't moved to injured reserve, another cut must be made.

Keeping undrafted free agent WR Dane Sanzenbacher seemed a no-brainer because of his all-around play, and coach Lovie Smith insisted the former Ohio State star will not rot as a gameday inactive all year, saying there will be "a role for him." Bears RapidReports

He's a big play maker. The role will expand as the Bears figure out ways to use him effectively. Wes Welker type receiver with a bit of nasty in him.

Comment: Sanzenbacher turned heads before the team even got to exhibition games. The challenge now is for Martz to find a way to utilize him.
