Former NFL player and has a NC ring (w/ Georgia ‘21).

Did he recruit Nabers, Pickens, Ladd and BTJ?
If he is the one that landed them I like the hire and wouldn’t see much of a drop off in WR recruiting.

Hard to tell without too much research. LSU fans are sweating that they wanted him gone, but that sounds like sour grapes.

Has to be sour grapes. While he was there and was the WR coach and passing game coordinator, they had the number 3 passing attack in 2023 and the number 7 in 2024. It dropped off this season, but with Kelly being fired, it seemed to be bigger issues.

Yeah, its hard to know who caused what at LSU (other than Kelly). He seemed to spend more time tanning and taking acting lessons than coaching.

I was not a huge fan however Nussmeier sucked ass and that surely had an impact on production.

WR coach at Georgia and LSU. Not sure that there could be a better hire in the college ranks. Familiar with big time football and pressure cooker environments. Probably already has relationships with a number of elite HS WRs.

He’s no Hartline but I felt like he did decent. Some claim Frank Wilson helped bring in a lot of his recruits but I’m not on the inside enough whether that’s true or just some fringe lunatic fans ranting.

Also curious on his recruiting prowess? Seemed to be a good recruiter at least from the outside looking in. Hartline was top notch in that regard, so I was hoping he would at least have that going. Hartline was also a great coach and technician, so it's tough to find someone who is both.

I thought his recruiting was solid, he has huge shoes to fill in Columbus. I know a few bitter fans who say much of his recruiting prowess was boosted by Frank Wilson but I am not certain how credible those claims are.
