WR Carnell Tate (National Champion)

Given the state of NIL, and rumors about offers Tate was given, hats off to him for putting his future ahead of his current situation. I think one thing OSU has that other schools don't is a culture of brotherhood. I think it's real, and I think guys like Carnell are a testiment to college football not being the goal, but instead a necessary developmental time.

Idk. With the amount of money being thrown at these young people, it's nice to see some levity. End of the day, it'll serve them well in the long term.

"Live like a lawyer when you're a law student, you'll live like a law student when you're a lawyer" is how it was said to me.
I was given the same advice, must be a popular mantra. Other than the annual Vegas trip with my law school buddies (which was still on a real budget), I lived like I was more broke than undergrad. In reality, I was since you couldn't work a job during the first two years until the summer.

On Tate, he has his head on straight and sees the bigger picture, that being WR2 to JJ and getting way more film and opportunities next year (to be fair, he already had a great season with the past roster). Plus you would have to think he appreciates what the coaches and his teammates did to help support him through a serious family tragedy. Definitely a breath of fresh air either way, hoping to see him thrive next season and I am sure he will. Tough kid.
