WR Brandon Inniss (Official Thread)

I needed some comedy, so I wandered over to canesinsight.com for some good ol Hurricanes delusion. And boy do they not disappoint :slappy:

So apparently Inniss was supposed to transfer to Miami.
But then they deemed him not good enough to play for Miami and would rather have Evan Stewart…
And now after one year, they claim he’s a bust who will never amount to anything and maxed out in HS

Those idiots really rival the DFBIA for arrogance and thinking they are more important that they are, aren't they?

2023 numbers (freshman): 1 catch for 58 yards and a touchdown
Despite the loss of Marvin Harrison Jr. to the 2024 NFL Draft and Julian Fleming to Penn State in the transfer portal, Ohio State has plenty of high-end targets in the passing game, including Emeka Egbuka and Carnell Tate. Brandon Inniss is another, after struggling a bit to find his way as a true freshman last fall. He'll be battling the arrival of Smith, the No. 1 player in the 2024 cycle and Jayden Ballard for snaps and sources say that will light a fire under the former four-star from the 2023 class.

'I'm the perfect slot receiver.' Brandon Inniss preparing for a bigger role for Ohio State in 2024

Ohio State fans didn't get to know wide receiver Brandon Inniss too well last year. Despite being the fifth-best player at his position in the 2023 recruiting class, Inniss played in only six games on offense and just 32 total snaps as a freshman.

It wasn't due to a lack of talent; Inniss has that in bunches. Like most first-year receivers for the Buckeyes, such as Chris Olave, Garrett Wilson, Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Marvin Harrison Jr., Inniss had to wait his turn behind some of the best wideouts in the country. He hopes to follow in those players' footsteps and break out as a sophomore this fall.

Talking to coaches and teammates about Inniss, one thing becomes clear: he is one of the most competitive players on the Scarlet and Gray roster. Inniss wants to win any competition he's involved in, something he says comes from his upbringing in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

"It just comes from where I'm from, South Florida," Inniss said this spring. "I feel like everybody down there, we compete to the max. There's no other place that competes like South Florida. There's dogs all around South Florida. So I mean, ever since I was seven years old when I started playing, it was instilled in me to just compete and be that dog."

The Jeremiah Smith hype train is coming at the expense of a freak receiver in Iniss. This kid is an absolute stud and will put up huge stats next year. Because of his size/position and ability to help last year (Tate got more PT) I think he’s flying under the radar. Inniss is nasty. Like ridiculously nasty…

This will be fun.
Fun indeed. Innis will make his mark, this is just a product of having so many weapons to be excited about. But Innis should a very important weapon this season.
