SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- The jerseys and shoulder pads and game plans were packed up and shipped from Ohio to Arizona. So was something else Ohio State wide receiver Anthony Gonzalez must have to get ready for the big game.

His hyperbaric chamber.

I'm not familiar with Andrea Adelson's work, so I'll giver her? the benefit of a doubt. Maybe this is just a brain cramp. Lord knows I get those from time to time.

But it is also a big error. AG's tent is not a hyperbaric chamber. It is a hypobaric chamber, which is the exact opposite of a hyperbaric chamber.

Gonzo Wows Them in Arizona
By John Porentas
Impressive plays on the football field have become the norm for OSU wide receiver Anthony Gonzalez. Yesterday in Arizona, he was equally impressive during pregame interviews leading up to the BCS National Championship game.

How many times did Gonzo get deep? How 'bout Holmes? "Shifty" is great, but "separation" gets you first-round jack. Gonzo needs to post a nice forty-time to get into elite draft status. JMHO, of course....

I do remember Gonzo getting deep in 2004 against TSUN, I just think that he plays in his place in our offense. He could be a selfish guy and demand deep routes, but he doesn't because he is a team first guy. He can run those routes, but it doesn't give us the best chance to win, and that is just one of the things that makes him great. I saw him in person when he was at St. Ignatius and he was the no. 1 reciever and he can definately run the deep route, I hope we get to see it next year in Columbus.

If Gonzo stays most likely he'll be the primary receiver and we'll see more fly routes by him... his crisp, short routes make him even more of a threat to go deep.
Gonzo is more threatening as a slot receiver catching the slant than anyone, anywhere else on the field. Gonzo on the slant is good for 10 yards per play, or 6 points if the opponent is Iowa. He can haul in a pass reliably without breaking stride better than any receiver in the game right now. I don't see why he should be used any other way. Robo and Hartline will become the fly-guys. Gonzo was born to break off the huge YAC on the short and intermediate stuff.

I guess my point is everyone knows he is a slot guy... running a fly pattern or two each game would catch a DB off guard, possibly for a big play. Also, I see Robo in the Michael Jenkins kind of role... great possession receiver with game-breaking ability.

From Mandel's blog:

∙ Speaking of Gonzalez, the Buckeyes? junior receiver is a reporter?s dream because he?s so bright, articulate and -- most importantly -- opinionated. Gonzalez sounded off Wednesday on everything from the exploitation of college athletes to his favorite philosopher, Plato. He also revealed his career aspirations after football: To go to law school and, ultimately, become a judge. ?They get to be called ?honorable,? ? he joked. I can actually picture him with the gavel, the gown and, of course, the shaved head.

That was a pretty good piece they showed. It just said everything we've had stories on. I thought it was funny when the journalist asked James Laurinaitis if guys from the team come over to get some sleep. Jame's response was "No I haven't, and I don't think any guys come over for sleepovers with Anthony." Hahahaha, that was great!
