Another thing to remember is that Gonzo has been here 4 years since he redshirted his freshman year...the guys he came in with** (D. Patterson, Devin Jordan, Youboty, Whitner) and the guys who were already here when AG got here such as Troy, JRich, R Hall will all be gone next season, not sure how much that plays into a decision, but it is a thought.

Sidenote - Boeckman and Barton will be the ONLY guys left from the 03 recruiting class which Gonzo was a part of. (Maupin, Hiley, Reggie Smith, Irizarry, Frost, Guilford, Cotton all came in with AG but have left the program due to their own "issues". Devon Jordan and Curt Lukens have been injury riddled to say the least)

So......we will have ONE Senior starter on Offense next year.
And, if Laurainitis, Freeman, and Homan start at lb, we will have ZERO Senior starters on Defense next year?
We'll be lucky to win a game!!:wink2:

Oh yeah, and back to Gonzo...he will make a KILLER slot receiver in the pros.
MONEY on third down - same as at tOSU.

A lot? I remember people overvaluing Kudla, but I don't remember much first round talk.

So you think he has 1st round potential, but we're homers to suggest he can go in the first?

Johnson, Ginn & Jarrett should be gone by the 15th pick. Gonzo can't slide into the remaining spots?

I think Mili predicted Kudla to go in the 1st though I'm not positive.

No, I didn't say you're a homer for thinking he can go in the 1st but I think the safe money is on the 2nd. This of course could all change with his combine and pro day.

I don't think he was as bad as woodyworshipper who said Kudla would be the second Buckeye selected after AJ. Probably the funniest thing I have ever read. I think Mili just though Kudla was faster than a speeding bullet and could leap tall buildings in a single bound.

FWIW, I don't know the Gonzo family, so my "sources" probably aren't as good as Terna's, but some of Gonzo's peers do say he is coming back.

The only good reason Gonzo wouldn't be first round is the fact that he is "only" six feet tall.

He also did very little PR and KR work, which is something rookie receivers earn their stripes with.

Beyond that, if you were looking for someone to be a Bilentnikoff clone (as in Freddie, not in "the award") then it is Gonzo.

Hey if he goes it will be hard to argue with.

As for Kudla, I'm still shocked he did not get drafted and I'm still betting that if his rehab goes well that some NFL team is going to have one hell of a minimum-salary DE next year. How can you watch the Fiesta Bowl vs ND and not LOVE the guy!!!!!???
