After reading through the thread, it seems your only argument on this topic is, "HAYN has good sources that say he is going." I wish I could have those five minutes of my life back.

I got to chat with some very close to Gonzo before The Game, who all but said Gonzo is gone. That's all I'll say...

I hope they are wrong. That's just me being selfish though. I know Anthony will sit down with his family and Coach Tressel and make the decision that is right for him.

He's a great receiver but the only way he goes in the first is if
Jarrett, Ginn, Calvin Johnson and Sidney Rice all remain for another
year. The girly-boy from ND and Dwayne Bowe as seniors will go ahead of
him also.

There's nothing wrong with going in the second or 3rd round anyway.

Regardless of what year he enter the draft I don't think there's any way he misses out on the first round.

I think some of us tend to get carried away with Buckeye draft predictions. I remember seeing a lot of 1st-2nd round draft talk about Kudla last year. I think Gonzo has 1st round potential but I think some of you are just being blind homers predicting him to go in the 1st this year with such a deep class.

Mili, according to your "sources", why is Gonzo leaving? Doesn't want to play with a new QB? Financial reasons? Wants to go out on top?

A lot? I remember people overvaluing Kudla, but I don't remember much first round talk.

So you think he has 1st round potential, but we're homers to suggest he can go in the first?

Johnson, Ginn & Jarrett should be gone by the 15th pick. Gonzo can't slide into the remaining spots?

I'd imagine the now returned NFL draft projection papers had a lot to do with it...

As has been said umpteen times, Gonzo is a very smart guy...and I'm sure that he is well aware of the risk vs. reward of the situation:

How many more 'Big Ten' hits am I going to take next year? And will that number be greater because teams won't have to focus on guys like Troy, Teddy, Pittman, etc.? What's the chances that one of those hits could be carreer threatening?

Is the rewards of Captaining tOSU during my Senior season worth the extra beating? Will my stock be any greater next year, and is it worth giving up the signing bonus and contract this year to 'gamble' on not getting injured next?

I don't know the answers to those questions in his mind, but you can see how anyone considering both options could easily make the case to go pro.
