Would you go alone to Saturday's Game?

NateG

Can't waste the day when the night brings a hearse
All of the usual suspects to go to the game with me Saturday are dropping like flies. I don't know if it is because of Saturday's performance against Navy or what but no one seems to want to go.

2 options are likely:

1. Stay home in front of a large flat screen TV and possibly have one or two friends available to come over to watch.

2. Go to the game alone knowing some people I know will be there for pregame and postgame but I wont be able to sit together during the game.

Which option is more appealing or is the go alone even an available option(am I just too die hard and stubborn to stay home)? Any and all feedback is welcomed.

You're watching a sick game... not going for dinner. You'll have 105,000 friends there. I used to go to Arizona Cardinals games in college alone all the time, because nobody thought it was worth their time or 20 dollars. You'll regret not going if you have the opportunity to.

Personally speaking, I don't have "One or two friends" so option #1 is out.
I'll liken #2 to my wedding day. Hang'in with people I knew before the ceremony was cool, as was the Reception. BUT, If I had it to do all over again, I'd have "gone alone" that day, and I suggest YOU do the same!:oh:

On the serious side, if you have a chance to go, GO! Nothing like being at the game, you'll buddy-up with those around you. And, on a sidenote, "Mrs. Dubs" and I will be celebrating our 15th Anniversary on thursday-NEVER saw that one coming, albeit from different bedrooms.:io:

Peace

Go alone and make friends with the people sitting next to you and cheer the Buckeyes hard all the way to Carmen Ohio!

That's what I'm doing.

What they said. GO!

Seriously, is there anything to think about here?

These are our Buckeyes, playing a big game. We have to be there to support them all the way. I wouldn't dream of being anywhere else. This is where I want to be. In the Shoe, yelling my lungs out, looking down on the field, Pryor, Posey, Dane, all the rest of 'em, and the gray-haired gentleman in the sweater vest.

How could I be anywhere else? This is Ohio Stadium. This is where Woody coached, where Laurinaitis and Hawk and Beanie played.

I'm sick of the Neville Chamberlain school of Buckeye "fans" saying they don't want to go because USC will beat us easy, or some lame shyte like that.

Our alma mater says: "HOW FIRM THY FRIENDSHIP!" not "HOW FICKLE THY FANBASE!"

I want to bitchslap anyone who calls themselves a tOSU "fan" and says they would miss the game, or that we are in for a loss.

You should go, and you should confiscate your "friend's" tickets and sell them to me at a reasonable price. We'll watch the game and have a better time cheering on our Buckeyes than you would have with those bitches. I honestly don't know what to say, I can't imagine having tickets to this game and not going.

I'm going alone, as I did every game I attended last season.

As others have suggested. Make friends with those around you. It's so much fun!

:oh:

Heck yeah, go alone! I've started going to see concerts alone since my concert going friend moved abroad a few years ago. I've tried to go with other people... but they all just get lost in / bitch about mosh pits. You go by yourself and you don't have to worry about making sure anyone is happy but yourself. I see the 'shoe is one 105,000 person mosh pit if we win that game.

Dude rolling "for dolo" is one of the best things you can ever do. Some of the best times in my life have been when I have been out by myself for whatever reason. I guess I wasn't alone cause I have my friends Johhny Jim and Jack, but yeah awesome times just loosen up. Its the USC game you should still be able to have a blast even if you were with people you hated. But you not your with 105,000 people who will love you for those three hours as long as your a Buckeye.
