Yeah, having heard the justification I don't feel a whole lot better about Turner as the head coach. The Chargers are saying they didn't want a whole lot of changes so they brought in a coach that knew the system and Norv Turner was the best bet, I still think he's probably the coach for next year or until a larger name hc becomes available.

The Rivera thing makes me laugh, I heard the Bears released him yesterday and I was irritated that we didn't pick him up as our head coach, but since we got him anyways I feel a little more confident with that.

Do Charger fans think this means they're casting their lot into the Cowher sweepstakes next year?

Well Cowher is a serious doubt to be honest, him and Marty are good friends and let's face it, the Chargers seriously FUCKED Marty by waiting so long to release him. So I don't think so, and talk radio here doesn't think so, but money can change a lot of things.

I think if (when) Cowher comes back, he's gonna want control over personnel, and with AJ Smith there, that's not gonna happen. As good as a job as this may be from a talent and location standpoint, it's probably not the right fit for Somebody like Cowher.
