Venezuela holds off Puerto Rico 9-6

USA trails Mexico 2-1 top 3

So far 3 of the 8 spots are filled for the quarterfinals (single elimination part of tourney)

I like the single elimination aspect, and it's March, because it's so foreign to what we're used to in baseball. It's basically a crap shoot.

I wouldn't want it in MLB but for this it's great.

I like the set up. Four 5 team pods. Everyone plays 4 games. Top 2 from each pod advance to single elimination tourney

Who the hell is Joey Meneses? Dude's having a Roy Hobbs night. :lol:

30 year old journeyman who played one year in Japan - made a million bucks - and got suspended for PEDs. He's played 25 games in MLB.
