Women's WC Final, USA vs Japan, Sunday 2 ET

While eating dinner, I could only imagine the hype-machine from ESPN (and others) if the U.S. Men ever made it to the finals of the Men's World Cup. My gosh!

Regardless, since Brazil is in a similar or closer time zone, ESPN is going to put up monster numbers in 2014 for the men.

I didn't realize (until reading it) that Rachel Buehler was responsible (sort of - it's a team game) for both Japan goals. I guess Ian Darke was right when he mentioned early on that he hopes the U.S. won't rue those early missed chances.

She is still the all-time Gator Woman's Soccer leader in goals, game winning goals, hat-tricks, assists and shots. She was a beast in college, and has continued that excellence throughout her career. I'm glad she has been getting some well deserved recognition.

Originally from my adopted home town of Rochester NY I find out today.

Small world.
