Great point about Brink vs Caitlyn, Fungo. Wifey didn't like CC's showboating during her Iowa years (yeah, we did watch as a sophomore). Always showing off her greatness for making a bucket. Carried through to her senior year. CCs 'in-your-face' play in pros certainly would piss off the players that have been doing this for several years, certainly. Also believe that Angel Reese is trying to 'one-up' CC in the prima donna role. Both need to settle down into more of a workmanship role. Brink, and CC's partner at Iowa are doing just that. Do your job, and let your teammates congratulate you. One would think that seasoned members of Fever's team would take them aside and give them some older sister counseling, no? Hopefully that happens. After awhile, the thrill of watching CC will diminish if not handled, and the fans-in-the-stands will spend their dollars elsewhere.

No doubt on that and from everything I've seen, Kelsey Mitchell is still the best scorer on the Fever team. What I didnt realize until watching them this year but Grace Burger is also on that team so there's a Who's-Who of BiG women's players of the last decade on that roster. Caitlyn will be great if she facilitates more early on and plays better defense because there's no winning things on her own anymore. I could do without the entire league taking non-basketball play type of shots at her though just because, reasons.

Or maybe it's not jealousy, but the fact that she's an asshole on the court? Nobody seems to have any issues with Cameron Brink, the #2 pick in this draft, who is also straight, white, and non-tattooed?

Maybe you should watch Clark for a couple years and see how she behaves before coming to any conclusions.
It is at a minimum both. The comments about her race are everywhere and over the top. Many coming from people who have never seen a wnba game.

Regardless of personality issues.. Tonights LOWEST game tickets...
Dallas @ LA - $6
Seattle @ Vegas - $27
Caitlyn Clark @ DC - $59 .. the two WORST teams in the WNBA; combined 2-19...
speaks volumes

Have to admit, I see names on the court, and somewhere in the deep recesses of my memory, I say, "Hey, I remember her, just don't from where". Happens every time I watch. The Buckeyes I know, but it's the others, B10 or not. Every college kid going to the pros has a huge step to take, in speed, contact, (heck one announcer said that 40% of all WNBA players were all-american!), quality of player, etc. And it appears (to me at least), that everyone can make the three-ball, so CC isn't the only one, right? CC's stats trend toward being a good teammate, as her assists levels have been climbing. She was a great passer in college, remember she lit tOSU up for 35 points and 20 assists - that's 75 points folks! And also believe that Kelsey has become a more complete player, not just the 3-point juggernaut she was in scarlet & gray. She might benefit from CC the second most, (Boston being first), as she can play off the ball, rather than have to create from the point. Have no comment on the CC - she's white, cute, straight, and non-tatted to make.

Not certain if this's the place, so mods move if not. Olympic Games exclusion of CC at first seems harsh, as she's the #1 draw in the WNBA. Attendance figures don't lie, for the Fever, at home AND on the road. Having said that, CC is not the best player in the WNBA, but certainly the most shiny at this point in time. As I said earlier, seems like everyone can hit the three, so that's not it. Would like to be a fly on the wall, when the team was named. Wonder if the players (was it a try-out, or simply named?), collaborated in a decision to take 'seasoned, older, proven players' instead of having try-outs? A quick glance showed that zero first year players are on this all-star team, but players that have put in the time, and have risen to the top ranks of WNBA players. Believe CC will get her turn to win several gold medals, and she needs the time to rest and heal much more than more basketball. Best thing she can do is keep quiet and boost the team when she's asked about it in interviews. Go America!

Women are petty and jealous by nature. CC is getting all of the attention and selling out games and all of the OGs are big mad and looking for a reason to feel like victims.
