Wiscy +13.5 at Nebraska (ov/un 50.5) 8 ET, ABC

What a foolish young man. Even if he has the game of his life, is it really worth the risk after 2 weeks of concussions?!?

http://host.madison.com/sports/college/football/badgers-football-montee-ball-says-there-s-no-doubt-he/article_c5fcfbf6-0778-11e2-ada5-001a4bcf887a.html

University of Wisconsin senior running back Montee Ball fully expects to play at Nebraska on Saturday, despite suffering a second concussion in less than eight weeks.

"Do I think I'm playing?" Ball said after practice on Tuesday. "Yeah, I'm going to play. No doubt."

Ball has yet to be cleared by doctors, but he did some running and conditioning in full uniform. He thinks he will be wearing a green non-contact jersey by Wednesday's practice and expects to be fully cleared by game time.

He suffered what he said was the third concussion during his football career on a 1-yard touchdown run early in the second quarter of the 37-26 win over UTEP on Saturday. It was the second blow he took to the helmet in the game, also suffering one on the play he fumbled in the first quarter.

It was the second hit to the head that left Ball feeling "dizzy" but exhibiting few of the other concussion symptoms. In fact, Ball is not convinced he suffered a concussion, saying the medical staff was being cautious in keeping him out of the game.

"I passed a few physical exams in the back room," he said. "They pretty much were like, 'We have other running backs.' I think at the time the score was 23-6. It was like, 'There's no reason to throw you back out there right now.' "

If Bile-enema lets this boy play.....

As Bielema said on Tuesday: "I don’t make any medical decisions. … We're football coaches. We don't belong in the training room, don't belong in doctor's offices."

You guys might want to change the line on this game. When the 'Skers don unis that they don't normally wear, things don't always go so hot.

All I remember is our asses getting kicked when we've donned the All-White Uniforms.

1991 Citrus Bowl (Ga Tech 45 - All-Whites 21)

1992 Iowa State 19 All-Whites 10
1992 Washington 29 All-Whites 14
1992 Missouri 24 All-Whites 34 (W!)

2002 Every road game in a 7-7 season: Penn State (40-7 L), Iowa State (36-14 L), Oklahoma State (24-21 L), Texas A&M (28-21 W), Kansas State (49-13 L), Ole Miss (Independence Bowl 27-23 L))

2007 Colorado (blew 35-24 halftime lead and got beat 65-51 in Cally's last game)

By my calculations we are a dreadful 2-9 when wearing All-Whites.

If anything, we need to bring back those All-White jerseys and have a special burning ceremony in Memorial Stadium and vow to never wear them again.

All-Red hasn't been all that special either.

Dr. Tom Osborne has announced his retirement affective January first 2013.

more to come as I'm sending this message from my cellphone

Just finished listening to the live press conference. Retiring effective January 1st, will stay on for an additional 6 months as "AD Emeritus" to assure a smooth transition.

Chancellor Perlman has already "interviewed some candidates", will "likely interview more" before making a decision on Osborne's successor.

While the decision is of course Perlman's, I guess (and certainly hope) that Osborne is heavily involved in the interviews and the final decision.
