UW and the B1G are pushing to get some sort of collegiate governance to hold players to the contract terms & keep schools from tampering with players. I get that schools want to not have to re-recruit every player all the time, but as long as there isn't a governing body that is more powerful, they can't really do anything but complain about it.

Most of the gripes about modern college football stem from the issue that they are still acting like these players are student athletes and not semi pros, when in fact they are professionals now.
