Just got back from teh Bar... pretty drunk.

I think i have a couple broken ribs. Good crowd, but I was leaning over the bar counter when Brax threw the TD bomb. Next thing I know the place is going nuts and 3 of my friends simultaneously jump on me pushing me against the counter top.

Was going crazy until the end of the game and long after.

I had to proof read this like 3 times, thank you spell check.

You did AWESOME bro, except for "teh" bar instead of "the" bar.

Hope you're okay. I'm old and have "been" and "done" way too many times.

"Lady-Alcohol" is beautiful. But she is also the worst bitch you'll ever deal with in your life!!!!!

Peace:oh:

Great game--but why is everyone saying that Wisconsin lost their second straight game by a Hail Mary pass?

A Hail Mary pass is desperate pass attempt with low odds of completion, usually with no specific target but aimed at a group of receivers.

What Braxton Miller threw tonight was not a Hail Mary. He had a wide open receiver behind the defense, spotted the receiver while he was on the move, had the presence of mind to stay behind the line of scrimmage, and threw a targeted pass at a specific receiver.

For the media (and others) to call it a Hail Mary doesn't give enough credit to Miller. That wasn't a Hail Mary--that was just a great play.

It's much easier to call it a Hail Mary pass than a "Miraculous play by Braxton Miller to a wide open receiver at the end of the game." :wink2:

I don't know...maybe it was the "throwback" jerseys. LOL!

All I can say is, What a game! What a huge victory!

But then I must add this:

OK here it is and then I promise not to say anything more about the uniforms until April.

A team's uniform is more than just the school colors. It is an iconic identification to the team. Anybody here not know the Yankees and pin stripes, Michigan and "wangs on the helmet," Notre Dame's gold helmets, USC in the same garnet and gold uni year in and year out, the steelers, bears, packers in what is basically the same uni each year, each game?

Teams that change their basic uni year in and year out do so for three reasons: 1. They usually suck 2. Their uniform/team identity hasn't been established 3, They can make a few bucks by helping Nike/Adidas/Champion
make even more bucks.

The Buckeyes worked hard to establish an iconic uniform, gray to silver pants with red stripes, scarlet jersey, gray to silver helmet with red stripe, buckeye leaves (green or black)

and then, in three of their most visible, most important, games in the last three years, they gave away that iconic image.

Ten years from now, anyone outside Buckeye Planet looking at pictures/footage of these three important victories will instantly know the opponents, but they will have to stop and think about who the winning team is because that team will be attired in something they do not associate with Ohio State.

While I'm not a huge fan of the marketing aspect of the whole 'pro combat' thing, I disagree with your sentiment - those men on the field were clearly wearing scarlet and grey :)

Go Bucks!

We played them the last game of the year until 1930. Until 2003, we had played them every year since 1914. They were most definitely our biggest rival until Schmidt came in.

Wrong. We only played them oas the final game for 12 years (1919-1930). We've played Michigan every year since 1918, more time than we've played Illinois, last game of the year since 1935, have Gold Pants based on the Michigan (better than a wooden fucking turtle), and just because Illinois was the last game of the year for a dozen years doesn;t mean they were our main rival during that time. In fact, it was our rivaly with Michigan that bumped Illinois out of being the season-ending game.

We just had an epic victory and you're still bitching about the unis? We could have been wearing band uniforms but as long as we kicked wisconsin's ass that's all that matters.

GO BUCKS!:osu:
