Hey goattails, do you think I give a rat's A$$ who wins this game. I'm observing, that's all. Except 1974 and 1998 bother me alot more than anything Wisky ever did.

He did nothing to warrant this response. Also, the MSU play was a legitimate TD. I have no idea why you'd rather it not be called a TD just because you don't think it would've happened in Wisconsin. I don't get the logic there - I don't think there is any.

Sorry, my friend...he was in. Barely, but he was in.

Damn! Not YOU Milwood?

I know he was "in" but how long does a "receiver" really have to have possession of the ball, being held up and stopped before the whiste blows. THAT dude's forward progress was stopped 2X before the ball crossed.

Peace

So, his forward progress had not stopped?

So, Buckeyes beat a demoralized Wisconsin next week at night in the shoe, then win out and we get a rematch with Sparty in Indy?

P.S. How in the wide wide world of sports did Sparty lose to the domers?

This MSU team reminds me a little of some past (mid-2000's) Buckeye football teams.....very dependable defense, balanced offense predicated on the run with a mistake-free passing game. Sparty is much improved in 2011.

Regarding the Big 10 championship game.....haven't we lost control of our own destiny with the loss to Nebraska? Definitely still in the hunt however....

I haven't read the entire rulebook but I'm pretty sure that if the ball crosses the plane, it's a touchdown.

I think it was in the second effort....he seemed to swipe the ball across with that effort. He wasn't being driven back and then suddenly lunging forward, as is the case with many forward possession plays.......You can't blow a play dead when the receiver is still moving forward, as was the case here.

If we win out, that puts Wisconsin at 2 losses and us at 2 losses. The tie breaker DOES NOT go to head to head in division, it goes to better overall record. Our loss to Miami puts us behind the 8-ball on that one.

As long as we beat Wisconsin next week and then win out, we hold all the divisional tie-breakers, so I believe we would be in. If that's true, then we're really in control of our destiny from here on out.

EDIT: Merih may be correct. In that case, we still need some help with additional losses.
