William Johnson (DB ttun)

Wiltfong and Trieu from 247 recently did a piece on Will Johnson. Fong asked him about his top 10..." I'd say it's even. I'm looking for a school that will develop me the most and have a good history of developing DBs and getting players to the league." His dad Deon added "He wants to visit a lot of schools on that list (see above post) but he hasn't had a chance to. He wants to get to the cities and see what's going on in the different towns."

Trieu's evaluation of Will..."great size and still growing. Has length is also filled in and looks like a prototype cornerback prospect...smooth...smart. Possibly he will outgrow corner but presently projects as a blue-chip boundary corner who will be an impact college player has a good chance to be a high draft choice."

Sounds in Will's comments about schools like he's describing Coombs's bio !:biggrin2:

I don't want to sound like I have scarlet colored glasses, but honestly if you're a DB, coach Coombs is right near the top of DB/CB coaches. The fact that his 2nd to last NFL game that he coached CBs he shut down the greatest QB in NFL history(arguably I know, but come on). And he did it with a team that was barely over .500, but he coached one of the top CB units and put a number of kids in to the 1st round of the draft.

Father played for ttun, but it also doesn’t appear to be a slam dunk for them either. If they let this one get away...

Just sayin': In my opinion, his recruitment is all going to come down to how much this (adage) applies in the Johnson family: "Once a Wolverine always a Wolverine".
