More fat, yes, but why would that be?
Is it because the hormone treated chicken is artificially pumped up like a USC cheerleader?
Less meat............see above.
Tastes worse...........if your used to the artificially pumped up, hormone enhanced chicken. And stores add flavor to cooked chickens.
Yes, it won't taste quite as good, but that is easily remedied. :tongue2:
Also I would like to point out that Brutustrenght's article comes from England and things(meat) are different in Europe.
(read article at start of thread)

It's illegal to add hormones to chicken . . . at least that's what the chicken I roasted on Sunday said on its packaging. Of course, there's still a host of other ways to fuck chickens up . . . like feeding them ground up bones and shit . . .

I have made a decision to eat mostly organic(hormone free) meat.
It will cost me about 30% more but I believe in the long run it's healthier.
What influenced my decision?
I have been considering this for some time.
And a friend was recently diagnosed with prostrate cancer.
More.........

And there are websites that will argue sugar substitutes are akin to chem/bio weapons. I say, "Where are the bodies?"

Breast cancer by nation: http://www.nationmaster.com/graph/hea_bre_can_inc-health-breast-cancer-incidence

I can't find a similar stat for prostate cancer, but until someone proves that we have a worse problem in the US than in Europe, and proves that it is attributable to hormones in meat, I plan to buy the usual stuff: thick, lean, juicy, and ready for the grill.

I am very conservative by nature.
So, I believe in a conservative, middle approach.
Switching to hormone free beef is not difficult.
And I can get buffalo readily. :tongue2:
We, as a society, eat too much red meat.

Hormones
Antibiotics
Pesticides

I thought Organic was supposed to eliminate all these. My wife is on the kick but I showed her an article where supply cannot keep up with demand and most of what is labled "organic" is not.

Even the vension we kill, from Ohio, has been feeding in heavily treated corn and bean fields.

Common sense must prevail in decision making.

Eating less red meat overall is a good first step.

Don't torture yourself about food or other decisions.

But, all you have to do is hear someone's story of prostrate cancer, or breast cancer to be motivated to eat consciously.

Women tend to react to things differently then men.

They tend to overdue it sometimes.

I could tell some stories, but that's for another thread!

But, women tend to out live their mates!
So just maybe, they know some things better than men. :tongue2:
