Who's your X-Factor for the NC game?

Krenzel surprised a lot of people against Miami by out-gaining both Clarett and McGahee on the ground. Leak surprised a lot of us last year with his strong effort despite shaky performances during the season, especially in the area of decision-making. I think the guy this year could be Zoom. Their safeties love to play the run, and if we release Zoom downfield, it could potentially create some mismatches with safeties or LBers and also make more room for Beanie to run.

Any other names that come to mind for either team?

brian hartline. robo will probably be either doubled or schemed against, so i think b-hart will have to step it up and play his guts out. best case scenario: gonzo in the 2006 texas game. worst case scenario: gonzo in the NC game (not really his fault, but still...)

edit: and now that i think about it, the refs. LSU racks up penalties like mangino racks up pancakes at a denny's all you can eat breakfast bar. if by some miracle the refs decide to make holding calls in our favor (specifically, in Gholston's favor), this might end up being a factor in the game.

My serious answer to the question posed is Kurt Coleman. He is so much faster than any safety SLU has it is ridiculous ("SEC speed" notwithstanding). I think he gets an INT.

MaxBuck, I checked out this thread earlier, but did not post. I agree with you, I think KC will play a key role for the Bucks, he does a great job in run support and is a ball hawk in passing situations, I foresee a couple of tackles for loss, with maybe a fumble caused and at least a few pass breakups and maybe a pick.

Ray Small. Underused all season (for whatever reasons). Not a lot of film on him. Can legitimately challenge the "southern speed" (lol) on the other side of the ball. I see him getting some nice bubble screen type plays for big yards.
