WWE legend suffers possible career ending injury on European Tour

The news just gets worse for the ?Nature Boy? Ric Flair. Last week during an important European Tour for TNA, the WWE Hall of Famer threw a fit and demanded ?advanced pay? from TNA officials before leaving Ireland for the rest of the tour. The speculation of Flair?s status with TNA was said to be in trouble, even after he rejoined the tour last Thursday in Glasgow where he wrestled in a tag match. Yesterday news hit the web, that Flair was not used for the IMPACT tapings which lead many to think he might be on his way out of TNA or under suspension. Flair has not been fired or punished by TNA management as far as we know right now, but even more bad news came out yesterday for the Natch. According to the Wrestling Observer, Flair at the age of 62, suffered a torn rotator cuff during a match with Doug Williams on Saturday during in England. This is a very serious injury and with Flair?s age could easily end his legendary career for good.

Seriously? This dude was still rasslin as recently as last week? At 62? I guess the Nature Boy's 401k must've really tanked during the recession......

I don't think it's his 401k, I think it's all the alimony he pays monthly. He'll probably wrestle until he dies :wink2:

Shawn Michaels was my favorite wrestler all time. I didn't care for him in the early-late 90s, but I was younger then and blindly followed the Stone Cold/Rock line of faces. When HBK came out of retirement in 2002 to face HHH at SummerSlam, I was impressed and watched wrestling regularly till he retired in 2010. I went back and watched some of his previous matches. The dude stole the show at most PPVs, especially Wrestlemania. Now I can't think of anyone that has been nearly as entertaining and innovative at every level in the last 20 years. He set the bar for ladder matches, had the first Hell in a Cell with the Undertaker, the first Elimination Chamber, and he made the Royal Rumble more exciting to watch with his near elimination comebacks. I pretty much quit watching wrestling after last year, when I turn it on now I wonder who the hell these new guys are that are being pushed into the main events. Most of these new wrestlers bore me, and Cena is just the next in a long line of poster boys with the same crappy matches every night.

Other favorites were Ric Flair, Eddie Guerrero, Curt Angle, Mick Foley, Jake the Snake, Ted Debiase, and definitely some Rowdy Roddy Piper. Personally, I think the best wrestlers were ones that could handle the mic and make you laugh (Or in the case of Jake the Snake, they played a great heel), and put on an entertaining technical match at the same time.

Stacy Keibler was my favorite female wrestler, although she was all eye candy :wink2: Just something about those legs that makes you wish you were getting pinned by her  There was something nice about a girl that could be smokin' hot and didn't need fake tits to carry herself. I liked Trish once she was able to put on a decent match, but she kinda went stale after awhile I thought. Micky James is probably the most gifted I've seen that didn't look like a dog.
