I've actually grown to like Dabo a bit, especially after he gave Ohio State sincere props after he was done breaking the plunger off, so I wouldn't mind seeing Clemson pulling off the repeat. If it weren't for Mayfield being a first-class dick, I'd probably pull for OU just so we can say one of our losses was to the national champ, but fuck them. As ORD mentioned earlier, UGA is the only non-objectionable institution of higher education involved and a newbie to the dance, so I wouldn't win seeing them win either. However, I do not want Alabama even in the title game, let alone winning it all, lest they all but have a reserved slot for the playoffs from now to eternity.

1A. Clemson
1B. Georgia
2. Oklahoma
No option for Bama.

I posted this on the other thread but I thought it deserved a second look because this baffles me...

So. Let me get this straight.

--#4 SEC ALABAMA is favored over #1 CLEMSON.

Let me say that again...

Non-Conference Champ (but Mercer Champ!) BAMA is favored over the NUMBER ONE FUCKING TEAM IN THE COUNTRY!

But, there's more...

--#3 SEC GEORGIA is favored over #2 OKLAHOMA.

I guess Vegas has somehow bought into the SEC bull[Mark May] too.

Vegas wasn't built on winners.

And I sure as shit don't want to see a Bama-UGA final. I think the SEC! bs has died down a bit with their only having one win in the first three years. All that will be forgotten immediately if Bama and UGA make the final.

Yep. A Bama vs UGA would be the absolute worst thing that could ever happen for college football. Nobody will ever hear the end of it. Every year you'll get the "THERE SHOULD BE 2 DANG OLE SEC TEAMS CAUSE BAMA AND GEORGIA DID IT!" argument

but UGA is the lesser of the two SEC evils, and it’d get me a good lay if they win so I’m gonna have to pull for the Dawgs this year.

That's the spirit. Everyone needs a little Chubb in their New Years.

From your lips to God's ears my man.
I do think they might be the hottest team in the country right now and hot teams typically want to keep playing (and stay hot! :spitfire:)
I expect some rust from the Sooners.
I don't expect any rust... In fact I bet they'll start very fast. It's what Baker does to be honest and it's hard to emulate what they do.

If Georgia is going to win you need to pound the ball and keep Baker off the field. You don't want a shoot out.

And exactly two states in America would tune in to watch it and the playoffs would've been deemed a major disappointment when it comes to who actually gave a fuck about it.
