Who will step up in 2010?

The question is "who will step up", not "who will become a good player". In my opinion, Nate and Pryor and other current contributors can still step up to become super stars in 2010.

To me, to "step up" means to rise well above your current level. While Williams has had to share time due to our great DL death, whenever he was in he played at a level at, or very near, everyone else on the DL. The only real reason he'll get more pub this year is because with Gibson leaving he'll be on the field more...even if he plays at "only" the level he played at this year, the extra time will garner him a lot more attention. Conversely, guys like Keith Wells (whom I pulling for big time because I think he has a ton of potential) more fit the definition of players looking to "step up" due to very little playing time and heretofore having minimal impact.

On offense I'd like to see T. Wash and Adams step up their game to the next level and obviously they need to prove it in practice to get the PT. Defense I want to see Keith Wells and O. Johnson step up and make an impact for what should be another great tOSU defensive unit.

GO BUCKS!!!

I know it's a typo but the DL did deliver a death blow quite a few times this year, didn't it?

I'm going with Duron Carter, hopefully he learned from not playing in the Rose Bowl, that JT takes grades seriously!

In addition, let's hope that Duron was a participant in a very serious and intense father-son discussion on the importance of academics.

My intention behind "step up" was which players names will become known to the more casual buckeye fan next year. Or, put another way, which players who currently do not get get significant playing time will get a lot of time next season.

On offense, Mike Adams and Jordan Hall will step up big time. Hall might have a chance to be an every down back, and Adams will be the final piece of the puzzle on the OL.

On defense, Sabino will emerge as the next great one. Johnson or Barnett will emerge at safety. Envisioning big things for Moeller if he can fully recover.
