I give up. This board is too hard to understand.
I could do with less flash back.... but it was a good episode. I kept thinking the guy they ran into in the woods looked like a crack head santa clause. Does Jack really think he's going to "train an army? Looks like it will get getting more intersting... I hope it keeps picking up speed.

I think this was one of the weaker back stories. But with the last line from his wife about always needing something to fix you get the idea of what drives him.
I would guess as the Army is built we will see some sort of problem between Jin and his wife as Jin will probally want to join the fight while his wife wants him to stay behind.

Does Sawyer know the guy from the island? When he put his gun down he said "This ain't over between us Zeke". How does he know his name is Zeke? Was it mentioned and I missed it?

Another thing. Why would he ask Anna Lucia about starting an army? You would think that he would ask Saieed (sp?) since he was in the Republican Guard.

My guess is he feels more comfortable with Anna. Plus not knowing what kind of rank Anna had as a police officer he might feel she would be better at training.
based on what we have seen based on back stories they would have a pretty strong force to start with. Anna, Ecko, Sied all are willing to kill when needed

I'm not a regular watcher but when flipping through the channels last night, the main character, Jack (?) has the same short haircut as he did when the show started. The island must a have a killer barbershop to not have your hair start growing long.

Sawyer said something like, "That's the son of a bitch that shot me." I took it to mean that he was the one from the boat that kidnapped Walt from the raft at the end of last season. As far as Sawyer calling him Zeke, I didn't think of it as he actually knows who he is but he always calls people by another name. He calls Kate freckles and I heard him call Locke Mr Clean and another name.
