'Stros better pitching and a great ability to manufacture runs....wait, oh well

really though, the astros have a better bullpen and their top 3 pitchers are better than the sox top three(granted only by the slimmest of margins). Garcia is better than backe though. If the 6,7,8 hitters can stay hot for the astros they are going to be very hard to beat. Just my objective thoughts.

White Sox in 3. The Stro's will just forfeit game 4.

I have no idea who is going to win this and I'm also having a tough time on who to root for.

I ALWAYS root for the NL team but I've really like the "small ball/NL ball" that Guillen plays.

Should be a good series.

I think it'll be funny if a year after the Red Sox getting off the schnide, the Cubs have to endure another team, in their own city, winning the Series instead of them.

I like the Astros in this one, mainly because I'm a fan of the National League, and not because I've actually followed baseball this year. I'll watch though simply because there are no east coast teams in it this year.

This is a much tougher series to call than last years. If i had to guess, Id say it goes 7 games. I wouldnt mind the stro's winning it, If they dont, i will hear a lot of complaing for the guys at work. I never really cared much for the sox, even less after the final series against The Cleveland Indians.

Cubs fans in Chicago are relieved that it's not Sox-Cards. They hate both equally. I didn't grow up in Chicago, so I'm able to root for both teams. But almost everybody that grew up here has to pick one and root against the other one for life.

If the White Sox win, I'm pretty sure it makes the Cubs the only franchise in the 4 major North American sports (including hockey because I can) that's been around since at least 1950 without a championship. And they've been without one since 1908.

Sushi: "White Sox. They beat my Red Sox, but I was really impressed with how well Chicago played."

I'm going ChiSox in 6.

We'll call this period the Charity Era in baseball where the bottom of the barrell, scrubby teams are allowed to win once every 100 years to keep their fans interested.

BB73: "Three more years and the Cubbies win!!!"

Hey, if the White Sox win this year, the Cubs are my pick next year no matter what!

The Yanks could sign Oswalt, Santana, Halladay, Sheets, and BJ Ryan and I'd still pick the Cubs!
