which sport has the best officiating?

I don't watch enough MLS to know, but I do think soccer in general has a very high level of officiating... still I went with the NFL. They usually get it right at full game speed and each official keeps up with a rediculous amount of details all at once.

what about in golf were you have tv viewers call in to the pga and tell them that a violation occured. heck weve seen players diqualified after the tournament...

You rarely, if ever, hear about that. Plus, that's more credit to the PGA. They admit a mistake and actually correct it.

Are you kidding? They can't even agree on one strike zone, the phantom step on second when turning the double play and so many aggregious calls at first (who can forget how the Royals won the Missouri World Series) and don't even get me started on the Preserving Has Beens rule, aka as the DH.

Gotta go with hockey. 1. They have to be great skaters. 2. The action is faster than other sports. 3. They have to avoid flying pucks and swinging sticks. 4. Can you keep track of the puck at all times? 5. They have to break up fights more often than other refs. They get to put players in the penalty box - way cooler than counting off 5 yards. 6. They have to deal with crazy-ass canucks on a nightly basis.
