5. Define "lost your virginity". I say that because....the first time I had intercourse with a girl, we were interrupted before I was able to "have my happy ending". And, it was quite some time before I ever had the chance again. So, if penetration is the key, then it was at a girl's friend's house.

1) You found out what was happening on 9/11

I had just arrived at school. The secretary said, "Did you hear? One of our aircraft carriers ran into the Twin Towers!" I couldn't imagine one of our super carriers going that far up the Hudson, but I remembered the WWII incident when a B-25 crashed into the side of the Empire State Building and thought she meant that a Navy pilot had had a flameout and hit one of the towers. We turned on the TV just in time to see the second plane hit.

2) tOSU won the NC

1954 - 55:
Watching the tv with my dad and sister, who was attending OSU at the time.

1968 - 69: Listening to the game live on AFVN, sitting in a bunker in Di An, RVN. I had $150 on the game with some loud mouth LA asshole (pretty much a redundency for anyone from LA) who ragged me for three weeks about how OJ was going to wave bye - bye to Tatum. Sweetest damned moment in my life was taking his money.

2002 - 03: I was hosting a bowl party in my rec room. I was alternating between water and Glenfiddich, I had no voice left, and I went out onto my deck and "sang" Across the Field with TBDBITL blasting away on the stereo. Fortunately most of my neighbors were BIG OSU fans (never a given down here in Cincinnati) and our party was soon joined by several others and went on for another two hours. The next day was heaven and hell together.

3) Challenger exploded

Teaching at Moeller. We stopped school and let the kids watch the news. Later we had a prayer service.

4) The Red Sox won the World Series

I grew up able to list the line ups for the Reds and the Indians. After the second strike I stopped watching baseball. I was glad to hear that the Red sox have won. I was even happier that they had eliminated the Yankees earlier, but I no longer give a damn about baseball.

5) You lost your virginity

In a buddy's bed, in an apartment on Neil Avenue, on a rainy Friday night, with a cute little blonde from my home town (Kettering). We broke up a few months later. It was my fault.<!-- / message --><!-- sig -->

1) At work. My mom called and told me.
2) At home. My dad passed away that morning.
3) At class. I was a student at tOSU at the time.
4) Not sure. Boston-St. Louis didn't really interest me.
5) The basement of my girlfriend's house at the time.

1. At work. Installing fence at the time, and another guy and I stayed back to unload a truck that day. Truck driver came in and told us. Lived next door to the shop, went over and saw the second one hit live.

2. Spielman36's house.

3. In the custodian's "office". I was in 2nd grade. Our teacher wheeled in a tv for my class to watch. We were the only class at school that got to watch.

1) Third period study hall in high school in the library. It was on the TVs (before the school wouldn't let any of the teachers turn the TVs on again for the rest of the day.
2) At my Grandpa's with my dad.

1) Had just finished a dynamics test at Keesler AFB, MS...watched it all unfold in the common area at the weather schoolhouse.
2) Huddled around a TV with three other Buckeye fans at work...fortunately the weather Gods cooperated and allowed for a slow night.
3) At school...3rd grade, they wheeled TV sets into the classroom
4) At a Ruby Tuesday's bar just outside of St. Louis
5) Backseat of my '87 Monte Carlo SS, Junior year in HS

2) at my house, watching TV

4) a bar two blocks from my house
5) a football field 3-4 streets over from the house in which I grew up

I was at work at NSA in Ft. Meade and was part of the skeleton crew that stayed on duty when the building was evacuated.

1. Walking into the living room of my then boyfriend, now husband's apartment and the girl living on his couch turned and said "The twin towers got hit by a plane and fell down." To which I replied, it is too damn early for that kind of stupid joke and went to the bathroom only to come back and see the repeated video of it.

2. Didn't watch football until I met my husband and so I can only say about the 2000 one, and we were in our current living room screaming and yelling and my husband was rubbing my butt for good luck.

3. In high school watching it over and over on tv.

4. NO fricking CLUE

5. In my math tutor/boyfriend's dorm room on campus of the local college in Reno NV. I was sixteen and he put on classical music and tried so hard to make it nice.
