Where in the world is LordJeffBuck?

If you are so inclined, keep your eye out for Atlantic puffins up there. That general area (give or take a few hundred miles north/south) is about the only place on North America to see these birds.

The puffins nest in the Little Fogo Island north of here. You can't get there except by private boat, so no puffin pot pie on this trip.

But I did get to eat some beaver at a local restaurant. [Beaver jokes in 3 ... 2 ... 1]

This morning, we're leaving Fogo Island - no phone, no television, no conditioned air - for the big city of St. John's, Newfoundland. Then it's off to St. Pierre and Miquelon, the only French possession left in North America. After three nights there, on to Halifax for three more nights.

And yes, I have eaten at the Dresden McDonald's. Just once.

I once woke up in Baltimore in the train station when I was on a weekend pass in the Army. Don't remember getting on the train or going to sleep on the bench. Didn't know where I was.

I didn't see LJB.
