You know, it seems like every time I shop there I swear it's the last time but it's so convenient, near my house and the best place to buy toiletries.

My living room is more convenient when I have to urinate, but I still travel to the bathroom to do it. Just sayin'. :)

I used to feel this way. Then I had one of those kid things.

Now, I'm a huge sellout. I fucking love wal-mart. Their bibs, brand new, were cheaper than the local second hand store.

Down with the U.S.A.! GoooooooOOOOOO CHINA!

Dub, I understand you being in a hurry and thus looking for a good parking spot. That being said, I could never understand why people who walk half a mile around a store/mall are so fixated on getting a space close to the store. I also take meticulous care of my vehicles, so avoiding parking lot dings is paramount.

I have really good luck getting rock star parking. Those spots are, for whatever reason, just available to me when I pull into the lot. I'm not against parking at the other end of the lot, they're just there.

So if the spot is there, and there is no danger, I take it.

Here's what I don't understand. I live in a pretty OK neighborhood. It's not Beverly Hills but it's nice. A former NFL quarterback lives right down the street from me. This Walmart is no more than 5-10 minutes walking distance from my house. Every time go to this Walmart I swear it's like walking into rural Alabama. It's like the people inside that store are from another dimension, I don't know where they come from. The thing is I occasionally go to other Walmarts in poor neighborhoods and it's never like this one. There's a Walmart down in a rough part of Glendale that my wife and I had nicknamed 'hoodmart and if I didn't know any better I'd never guess that I'm in a Walmart when I'm there. There was an Oliver Stone movie with Sean Penn called U-Turn, this is what this Walmart is like, I kid you not.

I drive a 3/4 ton pickup-I do a lot of long distance towing-and I generally have no choice but to park far away. I like the longer walk to the store for some reason, and I always offer to drop my passengers at or near the door.

Dubs, I had to go the Maple Ave. Walmart at 11:30 one night to buy a fishing license. I kept waiting for the "Jerry" chant to begin. Kyle would have loved it.
