Still, having no interest payments is better than paying interest.

Not really. My mortgage is 5%. I can invest money at better than that, so I am better off investing the money elsewhere than paying off the mortgage.

Besides, I have a million dollars.

Well, I did - before I put a refrigerator in sushi's treefort.

Probably nothing too different than what I'm doing now.

I have no debt. I already have season football tickets. I haven't worked for almost 3 years now. And I currently take several trips (i.e. vacations) a year.

Life is good!!! :)

And it will be even better Saturday when we beat scUM!!!

I would buy a dozen houses in the $60K - $80K range and turn them into rentals, then live off that income.

Rental prices are insane today. Scenario above would return the original $1M in a little over 10 years.
